And overstaying attracts fines that accumulate per day, so if you want longer, apply to extend through the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai before your time runs out.
What the Visitor Visa Does Not Cover
Working. UK government guidance is blunt about this: working on a visit visa can mean a fine, a prison sentence and deportation. If your plan involves earning in the UAE, running a business from there, or staying beyond the visitor limits, you need a residence visa. What If You Live in the UK but Hold Another Passport?
The on arrival visa attaches to the British citizen passport, not to living in the UK. If you are a UK resident travelling on a different passport, your UAE entry rules follow your nationality, and you will usually need to apply for a visa before flying.
